Loui’s Pizza is, without question, the best Detroit-style pizza we’ve ever had. Whenever people talk about the best Detroit pizza, the conversation always seems to come down to Loui’s and another well-known spot. We made a point of trying both, and for us, there was absolutely no comparison. Loui’s was the clear winner. The pizza had plenty of sauce, plenty of cheese, and the best crust you could ask for. The edges were perfectly crispy and caramelized, with that incredible cheesy crust that makes Detroit-style pizza so special. Every bite was packed with flavor, and it struck the perfect balance between a thick, hearty pizza and a light, crispy finish. If you’re making a Detroit pizza pilgrimage, Loui’s should be at the top of your list. It completely lived up to the hype—and then some. We can’t wait to go back.

Reddit said this was the best deep dish so this is where we came. It was amazing. The decor and the seating but most of all the pizza. We got a mushroom pepperoni detroit deep dish and just look at these pictures. So savory and cheesy and the crust had the perfect crisp. I already know im going to love eating this as leftovers! The guy had also just finished making this soup, a meat tortellini that was ridiculously good. I think you wont be disappointed by this place at all.

Best Detroit style pizza you'll find! I love that they let you decorate a chianti bottle and hang it in the restaurant. Our waitress was also very friendly and accommodating. Really looking forward to being back one day to experience it again!

We travel often an we always seek out foods that areas are famous for and this one didn't disappoint. Despite being extremely busy they instantly arranged seating for us, the waitress (Ashley) was very informative when asked questions, and the pizza was one of the best we have ever experienced. We enjoyed the pizza more than we did Chicago and New York style pizza. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a local dinner in Italy where everyone treats you as locals. There was even a child celebrating his birthday and many strangers in the restaurant joined in on singing happy birthday to him. This is a must eat at. I know we will be stopping by any time we are near the area. (Pizza was a meat lovers with pineapple added at our request.)

We had been seeing this place pop up on my feed for a while, so when my friend group and I were in Detroit we wanted authentic Detroit style pizza, so this was the obvious choice. We made sure to get there right when they opened and there were already people trickling in and the waitress mentioned the locals come so regularly it's basically a habit at this point. We ordered three different pizzas for 4 people. They have premade options but you can also build your own with toppings. Everything was delicious and exactly what we expected from Detroit pizza. The inside has this really fun retro vibe with wine bottles decorations. It is a great place for any occasion, families, date night, a big friend group, or even coming alone for a bite. Would recommend if you're in the area and want the real deal.
